NOTICE: Roosevelt Fire District Annual Budget Hearing for 2025
WHEREAS, on the 4 th day of September, 2024 pursuant to Section 105 of the Town Law
and Section 181 of the Town Law, the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Roosevelt Fire
confirmed that the annual Budget hearing will be conducted with reference to the Annual Fire
District Budget for the fiscal year 2025 on the 15th day of October 2024 at 7:00 p.m. Roosevelt
Fire District Headquarters 56 West Centennial Ave, Roosevelt, NY 11575.
WHEREAS, The Roosevelt Fire District Board of Fire Commissioners has adopted a
Proposed Budget for 2025 as of this date for the purposes of discussion and review at the
Budget hearing to be held on October 15, 2024. Copies of the Budget will be available on the
night of the hearing and a copy of the Proposed Budget is available at the Office of the Town
Clerk of the Town of Hempstead at Town Hall Plaza Hempstead, NY 11550 and at the office of
the Roosevelt Fire District Secretary at 56 West Centennial Avenue, Roosevelt, New York 11575,
where it may be inspected by any interested person during the following office hours; Monday
through Friday from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM September 24 th through October 15 th , 2024 and may
also be inspected on the website of the Roosevelt Fire District at rooseveltfd.org.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the
aforesaid Budget will be presented to the residents and taxpayers of the Roosevelt Fire District
and to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Roosevelt Fire District for their respective
consideration at the public hearing and for the purposes of hearing all persons interested in the
subject concerning same on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 and, a Special Meeting shall be held on
October 17, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. to review any and all post hearing considerations, if any,
concerning said Proposed Budget at which time said Budget may be adopted by the Board of
Fire Commissioners.
