Election Date and Location
📅 When: Tuesday, December 10, 2024
🕑 Time: 2:00 PM – 9:00 PM
📍 Where: Fire District Headquarters, 56 West Centennial Avenue, Roosevelt, NY
Position on the Ballot
Residents will vote to elect one Fire Commissioner for a five-year term. This term will begin on January 1, 2025, and end on December 31, 2029. The position currently held by Commissioner Hector B. Tyler, Sr. is expiring.
How to Run for Fire Commissioner
Interested candidates must submit a petition to the Fire District Secretary by 3:00 PM on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. Petitions must meet the following requirements:
- Be in the proper petition form.
- Include signatures from 25 qualified voters of the Roosevelt Fire District.

Voter Eligibility
To cast your vote in this election:
- You must be a duly registered voter in the Roosevelt Fire District.
- You need to register with the Nassau County Board of Elections at least 22 days prior to the election, by November 18, 2024.
